just another day in paradise

yup.

first off. HAPPY BIRTHDAY sage :) 4 is one of my favorite ages. {really.}

second. this is my second day being off work. monday afternoon i got a bad headache & nausea and threw up on my way home from work. {sorry if thats tmi.}

so i've been semi nauseous off and on for 2 days. so much fun. and random mild achey head.
i'm taking ginseng root pills now. {thanks to mikes mom being into health and everything. i really hope it helps.}

on a better note...mike is super sweet & came home for lunch today. and took my car to get a quote from his friend on getting my dent fixed. and is stayin late changing my oil.

um. lets see. how are you? how is your life? i would like to get to know all of you better.
please tell me something i do NOT know about you. this should be fun.

to michigan.

finally...its been since October 15, 2005 @ 7:30 a.m. when jill, sage, and jim moved drove off to michigan. {mmhmm i remember the day & time jilly.}

one of the harder days i've had in my life. {no joke}

SO...i have never had a job where i made enough money to buy a plane ticket to go to see there house, where they live & spend time with just them. ever.
{lifetime fitness, babysitting, houston elm}

so i am proud to say...i bought a plane ticket to go see Jill, jim, sage & Emerson in michigan.

i will be gone sept 25-29.

{i am so ridiculously excited!!!! i can hardly stand it!}

60+ WHAT?!

haha. i worked (as of today) 60+ hours this week! 55 from mon-fri!

anyways....

yesterday i found a huge dent on my car. when i left their house. oh joy.


today we are gonna look at it & then look on their neighbors car and figure out the culprit.
i was a wreck when i left yesterday. (thanks mom for talking to me!)

anywho... life is good. getting up early is getting lots easier.
rolling in money is pretty easy too.
oh and the mom gave me 7 jeans yesterday...yes the BRAND 7... :) i was pretty excited! they are a tad big...but WHO CARES! i'm a cheapo and would NEVER spend more than 30 bucks on a pair of jeans.

So anyways...once i again i need to leave for work...haha. 9-2 or 3 today.

so i worked 6 days this week.

which is appx 56-60 hours.

last week i worked 48.5 hours. 5 days.

so i leave the house at about 6:30 am and get home appx 7 pm.

yesterday the parents were in and out all day...packing. they are moving about 20 minutes closer.

so thats real good. that means i get 20 min more sleep a night. and get home 20 minutes earlier.

on a lighter note...i do maggies hair everyday...for fun. and thursday i was just going to braid the front of her hair & i decided to try out the French braid...i hadn't ever tried before....and the next thing i know....i did the wrap around the side of her head & i did it! i was so excited.

anyways...mike is starting to work out with one of our friends and so he isn't missing me too much! (like he would admit that anyways)

but i love my job. the family is very nice. and i get next friday & saturday off to go to snowflake. crossing my fingers anyways...because they are moving this week. and they had planned on the 18 &19...until i asked to go out of town :)

so i can tell i'm boring you now.

but here is a run down of my day...
feed adam breakfast.
cook maggie scrambled eggs while she colors.
10 am. both down for a nap.
12 lunch time.
play.
sing - i'm bringin home a baby bumble bee, i'm so glad when daddy{mommy} come home, itsy bitsy spider, abc's, do re mi song(sound of music).

adam goes down for another nap.
read with maggie, the same books everyday.
turn on shania twain while she dances to OH oh oh.
adam gets up, we play. and sing the songs again.
i need more songs. SO this is where you email me kid songs. :) or games for a 2 1/2 yr old :)

7 days down...

a bagillion to go.

i am the new full time Elder Family Nanny.

bye bye old nanny.

well, i was originally supposed to work 2 weeks, and then a few days a week for the month of july, until their previous nanny started nursing school. and then she would be my backup nanny.

now this is not the case. the twins spilled the beans about the nanny disciplining the 2 1/2 yr old in ways the parents specifically said not to.

anyways...i'm THE nanny now. and the kids love me. well more than the previous anyways.

so. things are going well. i'm gonna make lots of money & hoping to go visit the Scripps in august at some point. or maybe september. but i WILL get there.
but i dont have a backup nanny now :S

SO...i'm really excited! It's pretty easy...i've got the 10 am naps down to an art.
and i sing Do a Dear a female deer....etc SO many times a day. and ABC's & Twinkle Twinkle, & struggling to make up a 123 song.

They are the cutest kids. notice i didn't say THE cutest kids, just the. big difference.

no t.v. allowed. all organic food. {does anyone know me?} umm. no using the microwave. all bottled water. dishes. cooking. reading. playing. teaching. singing. laughing. coloring. {did i mention she asks for Oh oh oh? Shania Twain. yes, we sing & dance to shania twains oh oh oh song...daily. love it.}

its going well. all except i'm STARVING at the end of each day. haha.

yup. 2 more days still i start my job nannying.

it went well on saturday when mike and i went so he could meet the parents & i could meet the cute kiddos! and they are CUTE!

i will be:

watching, caring, tending, feeding, teaching, and loving 2 super cute kids. they have the prettiest blue eyes (she reminds me a tad of sage)

SO...i'm really excited to be DOING SOMETHING now. and MAKING MONEY. and DOING WHAT I LOVE.

i'm stoked.
really.

so although i wouldn't have minded working at UOP and getting free school...i wouldn't have been doing what i love.

so WOOHOO for nannying.

i'm thrilled.

complacent && confident

it feels good. really.

i found a nannying job.

a 2 1/2 yr. old girl. && a 8 mo. old boy. they are adorable. {she emailed me pics}

i met with the parents on tues. && they are lovely people. {it was the first time i wasn't nervous in an interview. i think that helped a lot.}

mike && i will probably go meet with the whole family on saturday.


playing with kids sounds lovely.

mmm. making money sounds lovely.

making double money sounds incredible.

its like being a mom...and still getting to go home.

i'm really excited. this family went through 60+ emails. 4 interviews. and narrowed it down to me & another girl. and they want to meet mike & i. and she already told me the days she needs me over the summer.

yeahhh buddy. it feels good.

i wanted to do something i love. and what do i love more than children? cute children.

i'll let you know how saturday goes with meeting the family.
